Sister, Stop grumbling.

I was talking to my daughter this morning about grumbling and complaining. We talked how when we are quick to be negative or complain, our bodies, mental health and spirit will be effected. When we ALWAYS see the bad in something, nothing of value comes from it. There’s no good fruit when whining, complaining and grumbling take place. This doesn’t only happen with children though.
How many of us complain because we don’t have more?
How many of us whine because we didn’t get our way?
How many of us get bothered when our order doesn’t come out right?
How many of us list all the negative things someone else does, never looking at ourselves?
How many of us get on social media, read some “news” and complain the rest of the day about it?
How many of us feel they always need to say something even if it may hurt someone else?
How many of us sip that “tea” too much? (Translation:gossip)
If we’re always negative, it will manifest into many things, like:
Annoyance with others.
A quick temper.
Pride.
A gossiping tongue. (Which you may mask as, “I’m just sharing my thoughts about that person”)
Loss of friendships.
Loss of respect from others.
People not wanting to be around you.
Physical ailments. (Yup)
Ask the Lord to reveal any negative attitudes in you. We can’t just say, “not me”.
Ask someone else to be honest and tell you if you’re a negative person. There will be a sting at first, but growth comes when you’re WILLING to grow.
Have you ever been around someone that sucks the life out of the room? Don’t be that person. Be the person that brings life.
Let’s humble ourselves today and try having an attitude of gratitude.
Philippians 2:14-15 ESV
Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Proverbs 17:22 ESV
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones

Sister, stop grumbling and start living!
